Jim Sampey- Retired President of Valpak and Executive Vice President at Cox Target Media

After serving 23 year at Cox Target Media, including roles as President of Valpak and Executive Vice President at Cox Target Media, Jim founded CIHU LLC “Can I Help U?” in retirement, helping friends and business associates to take their businesses to the next level.

Jim is engaged as Founder, Advisor and/or Investor to: Live Water Sports(Paddle-boards), Sky Data Ventures(Unmanned Arial Vehicles), Sterling Payment Technologies(Credit/debit solution provider), Valpak, and Shinn and Company(Tax, Compliance and Consulting), savvycard.com (Mobile Web Application Provider), Prime Medical Apparel(Anti-Microbial Textile), and Performance Health Applied Technologies(PTSD and Brain Trauma).

Jim also serves on various Boards including: Tampa Bay Partnership, University of Dayton, Florida is for Veterans Inc., SunTrust Bank, Now Up Foundation(www.nowupfoundation.org , serving Professional Athletes after their sports careers)and Vision Integrated Graphics(Personalized Direct Marketing Communications Platform) and the Tampa Bay Defense Alliance.

Prior to retirement, Jim held senior level positions throughout the Cox Target Media organization in sales, marketing, systems, customer service, and manufacturing, leading Valpak’s international franchise organization. During his tenure he architected various strategic initiatives facilitating a culture of continuous improvement through:

-cross media strategies for their 800+ sales professionals in North America,

-branding, promotions and marketing research activities to maintain the highly recognized Valpak “blue” envelope amongst consumer and business audiences

-year 2000 remediation efforts replacing their enterprise wide business systems with SAP,

-operational efficiencies and cultural improvement plan, through various technology and automation tactics, including the implementation, staffing and training of the companys state-of-the-art $220 million Valpak Manufacturing Center,

-testified to Congress on behalf of the US Postal System.

Jim has a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Dayton. Jim is married to his wife of 20 years Carol, and has three children Jimmy, Ryan and Rachel.
